Sausage and Cheese Appetizer

A Mixture of hot Italian sausage,  ground beef, and Velvetta cheese served hot on Rye party rounds.

1 lb ground beef

1lb Velvetta Cheese

1lb Italian sausage

1 loaf rye party bread

1 tbsp oregano

To Prepare: Remove sausage from casing and crumble with beef.  Saute until browned, place in colander and allow time to drain.  Melt Cheese in microwave or on stovetop, add oregano and combine with meat.  Spoon 1-2 tbsp’s on to party bread and toast in toaster oven or conventional oven on cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 350-375 degrees.

To Serve:  Serve hot out of the oven as Hors D’oeuvres.  My dad says, “Make plenty! People eat these like potato chips!”
