Pot Stickers

This recipe comes straight from marthastewart.com. It’s modified just a wee bit to my taste.  As much as I want to dislike that woman she gives me yummy recipes, so I give up.  I have made these as appetizers to go with a stir fry or a noodle bowl (i will post this recipe soon!).  They are DELICIOUS!  You can also freeze raw stickers on a cookie sheet and store in a container for up to 3 months.  Enjoy!


1/4 lb ground pork

1 tbsp minced chives

1 1/2 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp minced fresh ginger

1/2 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp corn starch

20 won ton wrappers

1 tbsp vegetable oil

*In a bowl, combine pork, chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, corn starch and 1 tbsp water.

*Place a heaping teaspoon of pork mixture in center of wonton wrapper.  Wet the edge of the wrapper, fold over and seal.  Repeat to make approx. 20 wrappers.

*Cook dumplings in two batches in a large pot of boiling water until they’re cooked through–4 mins, removing with a slotted spoon.

*In a large non-stick pan, heat vegetable oil over med. high.  Cook in two batches until browned–about 1 1/2 mins on each side.  Serve with dipping sauce.

DIPPING SAUCE Makes 1/2 cup

1/4 c soy sauce

3 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp minced fresh ginger

2 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp sesame oil

*In a bowl, stir together soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, sugar and sesame oil.
