Sausage Dip from Temple

ok – finally getting around to adding something :) I am not a huge sausage fan but this is easy and is yummy (everyone seems to love it too).

Ingredients:

2 package of 8 oz. cream cheese

1 can of the Rotel tomatoes with chiles

1 lb. of ground sausage – browned and drained

Directions:

After sausage is cooked and drained, combine all ingredients in a crock pot. Stir occassionally until all the cream cheese has melted and blended together. Keep warm. Serve with tortilla chips. (I prefer the scoops).

You can also use this EXACT recipe for stuffed mushrooms, just don’t put it in a crockpot. Mix up the dip without melting the cheese and use as a filling. Wipe some large mushrooms clean, take off the stems and fill each one with the dip. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and broil in the oven until cheese is bubbling and mushrooms are cooked.

Anything with sausage and cream cheese is perfect!!! :)
