Nana’s Pumpkin Harvest Loaf Recipe

Preheat oven to 350

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 c. Pumpkin
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. Ginger
  • 1 c. (6 oz.) Chocolate Chips (I always use a lot more)

Mix all ingredients and pour into grease 9×5 baking pan, and bake for 60-70 minutes.

For the icing, I just mix vanilla, powdered sugar, and water to the consistency and amount I want to cover the top of the cooled loaf.
